# Automatic sync stops ability to record

Is there a way to keep a recording from syncing automatically after a recording is completed? This is an issue for me because depending on the amount of time needed to sync I’m unable to start recording while syncing is active.

You can cancel the sync and your data will not be lost. Cancel\> start recording\> sync later when you have time.
