Hi all,

I really like the idea behind Pocket. It catches conversations and thoughts I’d otherwise lose, and I’ve come to rely on it for that. I wanted to share some honest feedback on where I’m struggling, in case it’s useful.

The first issue is transcription accuracy. Compared with Wispr Flow or the transcription built into the big online meeting note services, Pocket gets quite a lot wrong, especially names, company names and industry terms. I know about the custom vocabulary list, and I know those other services have had years longer to train their models, so I’m not expecting miracles overnight.

The bigger gap for me is context. I keep a large library of work and personal notes in Obsidian, and operate a lot in both my professional and private life via Claude.

Most of the mistakes I fix by hand wouldn’t happen if Pocket had more access to context about who I work with, what my company does and what I’m reading. The same goes for the suggested tasks, which often miss what actually matters because Pocket doesn’t have the background.

At the moment I spend a fair bit of time correcting transcripts and tasks before I can use them, which cuts into the value of capturing everything in the first place.

Is there anything on the roadmap to improve transcription quality and task suggestions, particularly around using more of the user’s own context? I’d be happy to test early versions.

Thanks for building this. I want to keep using it.

I have the same issue. I spend a lot of time manually correcting the transcripts and it’s getting cumbersome when you have several meetings all week. I can’t share the meeting notes until I fix it all in the transcripts. Then when I have the summary regenerate with the new corrections, it’s still off and so is the road map or tasks. I need this to work better since I love this Pocket!!!

Is there a way to design a custom template for summaries? I do note taking for client reviews and there are distinct sections that the comments need to be organized under.

Thanks for taking the time to spell this out, and welcome to the community. You’re right that custom vocabulary only solves part of the problem. Names and industry terms matter, but Pocket also needs enough context to understand what deserves attention.

We’re working on transcription quality, better handling of transcript corrections, and more relevant action items. A corrected transcript still producing an inaccurate regenerated summary or task list is especially frustrating. If you can send one or two affected recording IDs to support privately, that would help us investigate.

We don’t have a date to share for pulling broader context from Obsidian or Claude into Pocket, but it’s an area we’re exploring. ProudLark76 and fordgirl1996, we’d also be glad to include you in early testing when something is ready.

For Claude users, Pocket MCP can already make your Pocket recordings, transcripts, and action items available inside Claude. It doesn’t currently bring your wider Claude or Obsidian context back into Pocket’s transcription and task generation.

@AndrewPyle Pocket Pro supports custom summary templates and they sound like a good fit for client reviews. Go to _Settings \> Summary \> Summary theme \> Create new template_. You can add overall instructions, create separate sections with their own headings and instructions, and arrange them in the order you need.

I run into the same issue. Although I really like Pocket and have been using it a lot more often. My bigger issue is that the transcript and sometimes there are graphs with it are difficult to email in a word doc format. It would be fantastic if it goes in as a PDF into email instead of having to email it to myself copy it and put it on a blank Word document to save so I can attach and send to somebody else. There may be a much easier way to do that, but when I found that it’s emailed directly, especially if somebody doesn’t use Pocket it comes through in an unusual format, not readable friendly.
