“Update failed: Platform Exception(Write characteristic, canSen….)
I am getting this error attempting to update firmware.
I’ve restarted app, restarted device. Tried to update off WiFi, Bluetooth connection is good. WiFi connection is good. Reset device still getting same error.
Current WiFi firmware V9
Software V 0.6.71+5855

I was having this issue, too. My issue was that I was running a VPN that was interferring with the update. Once I turned off the VPN (Norton), the update went right through. (Remember to turn your VPN back on.
