I use Pocket primarily for team meetings and the main aspect that I need is keeping track of all of the decisions and to-do items that come from that meeting. However, I may have 10 people in a meeting and need to delegate those to-dos after the meeting. What is the best way to do that? Also, will it learn and tag new people if I say, “Bobby, i need you to call this client today.” Will it learn to tag Bobby, even if he’s never been a part of a previous meeting?
This isn’t perfectly your answer, but it may guide you to trying a unique template along the same lines as what I did to create that ToDo list. Check out a reply I did for someone else awhile back. Link is in the lower part of my reply here when I tried to help someone in the “Automating the export procedure”.
I’m guessing you can create a template and have something in the “rules” you tell it to group ToDo list by the names of people noted to perform the pending items.
Try something like:
Create bullet point To Do list grouped by the name of the person delegated to complete the task.
Try around with different wording. I tell people to think of the AI as if you are trying to speak to a Child that has no life experiences but somehow they understand Adult words and the definitions of those words. Dumb it down. Create the template like you’re an idiot tourist in a country of another language and you are asking one of the locals to go do something for you. Hoping they understand the point of what you are asking.
Hi Tyler,
Pocket can extract to-dos and include the responsible person when their name is clearly mentioned, so saying something like “Bobby, I need you to call this client today” may help it capture Bobby as the owner. You can also use a custom summary template to group action items by person.
At the moment, this doesn’t create a true assignment to another Pocket user or notify them. Tasks remain in your Checklist, and any exported tasks may need to be assigned manually in the connected task app.
Automatic delegation and notifications would be a useful addition. You can submit and upvote this suggestion here: Pocket Feedback.
