No option to add detected tasks to Google Calendar

Hi Pocket Support,

I’m a new customer from Germany and I’m currently trying to understand the calendar integration.

I have connected my Google Calendar successfully. When I record a note and mention an appointment or something that should be scheduled, Pocket correctly detects it as a task/action item.

However, I do not see any option to add this task to my calendar. There is no “Add to Calendar” button, no calendar action, and I also cannot find any dedicated calendar or meetings section in the app.

At the moment, the only calendar-related functionality I can see is that my Google Calendar account is connected.

Could you please let me know:

  • Is it currently possible to add detected tasks or appointments from a recording directly to Google Calendar?
  • If yes, where should this option appear in the iOS app?
  • Does this feature need to be enabled separately for my account?
  • Is it already available for customers in Germany?

I’m using Pocket on iPhone.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best regards

Hi Fox, welcome to Pocket!

Yes, detected tasks can be added to Google Calendar on iPhone. Open the recording and select the To-dos tab. A blue + Add to Calendar option should appear beneath each incomplete task. Tap it to choose the date, time, and connected calendar, then confirm.

Pocket doesn’t add detected tasks automatically, and there isn’t a separate calendar or meetings section. The feature requires no separate account activation and is available in Germany.

If Add to Calendar is missing, first check that the task hasn’t been marked complete, since completed tasks hide this option. If it’s still missing, please share your Pocket app version and a screenshot of the To-dos tab so we can investigate.
