Hey designers. I’ve just lost my second pocket device due to the weakness of the magnet. I really do hope that there’s something that you can do to improve this.
Right now, I’ve cancelled my yearly subscription but I’ll keep on checking back to see if there’s a pocket 2.0 released that has addressed this.
Until then, I’m hesitant over to Granola.ai that doesn’t require an extra device.
Hi Mark! I’d be happy to help you figure this out. To get to the bottom of it, could you let me know if you were using a case when the issue occurred, or if the phone was connected directly? Also, just to double-check, does your specific phone model officially support MagSafe? Thanks!
Same issue but I carry my phone in my back pocket. When I drug it out to use it I always have to “fish” for the pocket to reattach it. Needs a stronger magnet or some type of clip.
Have to agree with Mark. Mine dislodged from my iphone (direct contact) several times, but caught it. Alas, didn’t catch it this last time… Currently not using your product. contemplating whether to risk buying, possibly wasting more $$ on another.
Possible to incorporate an air tag into the unit/ audible, through phone, proxcimity alarm?
I also have this issue, have gone through multiple cases, even used pocket to try and find the strongest lightest case available. I’m currently using Crystal Fit Case by Upcommon. It’s a little better but I’m still slipping around. I have mobility issues on top of it, so I also have a pop socket magnetized onto my pocket, and that one
Same here! I’m looking for something a bit better than the Pop Socket currently. I rarely carry mine (doctors mainly) but my brother wants to carry his. He can’t get it to stay put either.
I’m having the same problem losing the pocket device from my phone. The phone is a Google Google 10. The point of failure is actually the adhesive which goes to the back of the phone or the case. I’m using Google’s suggested case and have had it separate three times four times. Luckily it’s usually when I’m digging it out of my pocket so I don’t lose it, but it’s still extremely aggravating
The magnets in the Pocket device are pretty weak. I solved this buy putting the Pocket device inside a magsafe wallet. The wallet has much stronger magnets and it doesn’t come off unless you really want it to come off (I have to twist it so the magnets are misaligned before I try pulling it off the phone).
