Not exactly. It wasn’t a flat 10% discount. It was $10 off one time purchase products, which is 10% when the device is $99. However, if you buy a $99 device plus a $149 subscription, the discount is still only $10. In that case, $10 divided by ($99 + $149) is about 4%.
I’m not sure if that makes sense. Pete, our Head of Marketing, has done an amazing job putting together the most competitive offer for the market.
So 6% of $248 is about $15, correct?
And 6% of $99 is about $6, correct?
Does anyone know how long the wait is for a referral code to be generated after applying? I mentioned in a fb group about pocket and now people are asking for the link like crazy.
Sorry, I saw there is a referral link now, does that mean the affiliate link is not needed? Can someone explain the difference to me like I am 5? Thanks!

Great question.
Think of it like this:
Referral link = for friends.
You share it with someone you know. If they buy, you get a small reward. Simple, casual.
Affiliate link = for creators.
If you have an audience (YouTube, newsletter, etc.), you share your link publicly and earn commission on the sales you drive. It’s more structured and tracked like a partnership.
So:
Referral → “Hey, you should try this.”
Affiliate → “I create content and earn from recommending this.”
Same idea at the core — just different scale and intent.

Thank you @gabriel-dymowski and @Akshay I have already registered and I have sent out at least 4 referrals so far - I was wondering if there is anyway that we can track the status of those referrals we sent - if you would give us that ability - then we could follow up with our friends who haven’t signed up to maybe mention it again… or that we could maybe send out an email to these people say 1 -2 months after our initial referral where we could boast about everything that we are using our Pockets for? MARKETING TAGLINE SUGGESTION: “Me, I’m stuffing my Pockets full of interesting stuff…” you could have a bunch of your customers provide photos and a description of what they are using their pocket for…. Maybe a Jean Pocket or a Jacket Pocket as a place that is full to the brim with ideas, sketches, etc…. Anyway just a few ideas to try to help you folks out!
