Your speaker tagging and global speaker management, go take a look at what otter is doing. They do a really nice job of allowing you to choose when to rematch speakers on a conversation.
This approach could potentially solve some of the challenges expressed about old conversations being updated with new speakers or speakers not even present in the conversation. This puts the control in the hands of the user to allow them to choose when to conduct a rematch.
They do some other nice things with global speaker, voice profiles.
