Ask Pocket Can Read Your Files Now

Maclean here from Pocket, Ask Pocket can now work with files. Drop in a PDF, image, CSV, text file, audio clip, or video, then ask Pocket to reason over it alongside your conversations. Try things like “what changed in this deck since the meeting?” or “turn this brief and the call into next steps.”

We also added a model picker in Ask Pocket. Everyone now starts on Thinking, the new default, and Pro users can switch to a stronger model when the question is messy or the stakes are high.

Here’s some other highlights from these past two weeks:

  • Recording audio quality improved on desktop

  • Mobile sync now shows byte-level progress, speed, and ETA

  • Calendar sync and cancellation handling are more reliable

  • Merged recordings now respect your language

  • Daily Insights now respect your language

  • Lots of auth, subscription, onboarding, sync, export, and performance fixes

I can attest the Google Drive sync works fantastic! It’s what I’ve been wanting for quite awhile now. I do wish there was a way to sync all of my older Pocket files but at least from this point on, they will all be synced.

I have a question regarding the difference of ask pocket on the front screen or when you’re in a conversation summary you can also ask questions there are these combined are they searchable globally or are the ones asked within a specific conversation? Is that one specific to that conversation, for example could I search for that one in the ask pocket hope that makes sense

HOLY #@$(&@#$(&!!! Pocket changed my life when it comes to my reports but you just took it to another level because I have to read other people’s reports as well as include a brief summary of those reports in my own. WOW!!!

Anyone else do something similar, this is my text to tell the AI what I want after drag&dropping 10 reports into AskPocket.

“Summarize each of these reports into brief paragraphs for each report.”

Excellent little paragraph to copy/paste. Confirming accuracy of course but still a huge time saver. Even noticed it brought attention to a point about something I overlooked when I read the report the 1st time on my own.
