Are recordings logged in the app? Can I play them back?
I havenât found a way of doing this in the app but you can export it (in my case airdrop to my computer) and listen to it there
Where are they stored? Iâm exporting transcripts to my Drive but where are the audio files stored?
If you export them, they get stored initially in download (on a Mac, not sure on a PC) and then you can move them where you want. Iâd like also to be able to listen to them in the app on the phone after recording, but I havenât found a way to do this yet. I hope that this helps.
Yea thanks. I want to listen in the app too. Iâm sure in their research they found that people who use recordings rarely play them back. But because this is kind of business and personal (attached to my phone) I feel more ownership of the conversations. Plus Iâd never use otter.ai with a friend, but I might use the this, and Iâd want to hear their voice. It makes sense, storing a bunch of audio no one uses is expensive, but to store them for a short period and then delete the audio version could work.
I created an idea for this to be created. Please go upvote it!
Can you tell me what menus you went to in order to export the audio? I went to Share Conversation - Export audio, it exported everything except the audio. It opened a chrome tab though with the summaries, mind maps, etc, but no audio, thanks!
Sure, there are two way of exporting after a conversion/meeting has been added into the Pocket app. One is the three dots at the top right of the conversation details and, as you say, that doesnât export audio. If you go to the icon on the bottom right with the upwards arrow in a box and click on that, audio is one of the export options. Does that help?
Yes it does, thanks! That worked perfectly and i can hear how clear the mics picked things up, appreciate it!
I agree this is a critical feature. Also important to make sure it is actually recording properly. I bought this thing over Plaud, it should at least do what it does.
It will :)⌠eventually. Itâs a new product. With a new team. Plaud is a hardened product. We crowd funded pocket to be real. Eventually itâll do what plaud does and more! The team seems super responsive and even launched a feature site for us to request what we want Pocket Feature Ideas
@Maurice same here. I picked the Pocket over the Plaud Note. Certain features should be basic and work right out of the box. I havenât received my device yet, by the way. Iâm betting on the Pocket dev team to work out all the kinks as quickly as possible. Iâm a heavy user, so I would be extremely frustrated if certain basic features were not working on my Pocket device.
@Nex most definitely. Iâm rooting for Pocket. We bet on the right horse!
super helpful, thank you! I donât have time to listen to the audio usually but itâs nice to know where to find it and upload it if i need it.
For my use cases, this is a critical feature since some of the transcription is inaccurate. Non traditional names and recognizing peoplesâ accents seem to be a challenge and would be helpful to be able to audibly review the recording, from within the app. Iâm lowkey disappointed.
@karachop There are several requests for this on the features page. I recommend you visit the page and upvote so that we can get these features added.
You can start with this one Listen to Recording + Jump to Time in Audio via Transcript
I had same experience as @nyhunter77 When I try to do this by âsharingâ and then select âexport audioâ it sends a link to a web page that has the summary and transcript and mind map (via tabs) but not the actual audio file itself. I need to get the audio file somehow. Am I missing it as an attachment somewhere?
Where is the âdownloadâ? I did the export option on my phone, in the app, and it says it saved the audio to âdownloadsâ, but no clue where that is at. I checked the actual âdownloadsâ folder on my phone (where stuff on the web would download to when using a mobile browser) but do not see anything in there.
