I ended up having to buy a new one. I am wondering if there is a way in a future iteration to make it discoverable?

Could you add a small tracking device to it? Sure it messes up the esthetic and small form factor but still?

Sorry for your loss. I’ve had the same fear and after looking at other posts on this forum I wandered to Amazon dot com and located a MagSafe pouch that can be adapted to my pocket device. (Amazon.com: ExtreLife For Magsafe Wallet with Grip, 6-Card Holder, Stronger Magnetic Card Wallet Holder for iPhone 17/16/15, iPhone 14/13/12 Series, Leather Magnetic Phone Wallet with Privacy Flap, RFID Blocking : Cell Phones & Accessories). I purchased a muted yellow case that should allow a tracking device or card to maintain proximity to the Pocket device. The RFID protection may cause a problem but a tracker could also be affixed to the outside of the case. There are a variety of case colors if the muted yellow is too bland.

I will have to post next week after determining if this is a viable solution.

Amazon pouch designed for credit cards, Pocket fits perfectly with a slight (1 cm) modification. Bright yellow allows my spousal unit to locate it in her purse. Flap must be opened to uncover the two microphones. This case is MagSafe capable, has an opening at the bottom to accommodate the USB-C charging port. Overall cost was less that $20 USD on Amazon dot com.
