I have had my Pocket now for quite some time and have used it to take notes during meetings. I read emails about using pocket for the conversations after the meeting and to record my thoughts. Does anyone actually leave it recording all day? What are the best practices the community has found to capture the randomness of the day without wasting space or making sync a bear?
I don’t do it all day, but I do use it in a meeting and then again after the meeting. But I purposely stop and then start. Quick click off, quick click back on. I want to make sure my recordings and summaries accurately are separated for the sake of accuracy.
If in the meeting someone says the Ball is RED but after the meeting someone says they think the Ball is should be Green, the AI might incorrectly summarize the fact that “During the meeting, it was discussed to change the ball to green” Which isn’t true, that was just someone voicing their opinion after the meeting.
(Ball versus color is not my meetings, just an example for this post)
I have a similar question. One of the most difficult things for me is remembering to start and stop recording. I talk to myself out loud a lot with my ideas and I would prefer to just leave it on but dont know if it will be able to differentiate between meetings and random musings.
Its not guaranteed. You could try creating your own custom template for the AI to recreate too. For example with mine, if anywhere in the recording I talk about “incomplete, pending, To Do, not done yet, next week, will later, etc.” it creates a bulleted list at the end of the report of all those pending items.
In my custom template:
SECTION TITLE: Pending/Tracking:
SECTION INSTRUCTIONS: Bullet point list items noted as pending or still to do.
Results are:
Pending/Tracking:
-
Completion of tape and mud process.
-
Performance of bottom of wall and top of wall fire stopping.
Maybe do something like:
Section Title: My Thoughts
Section Instructions: Bullet point list items noted as an “Isaac Thought”
Hard part will be teaching yourself to say “Isaac Thought tomorrow bring in the 4th of July decorations from the garage”
“Isaac Thought to release the neighbor kid from the cage in the basement” etc. etc.
