When your Pocket arrives, what’s the very first thought, conversation, or moment you want to capture?
For me: it’ll be the story of building Pocket itself. The late nights, the delays, the excitement, and the fact that we still made it here. I want to hear myself tell that story out loud, because it’s easy to forget how far we’ve come.
Your turn: what will be the first thing you hit record on?
Business meeting will be the first order of business for me. I recently took a new position and will be introducing myself to me sales team. I will record these meetings and greets so I can retain and send followup thank you messages to all of them based on the conversations.
I’m eager to capture all the “note to self” tidbits that cross my brain pan in a day. Using a task board or reminders is difficult to keep up with and takes time to make entries. I’m hoping Pocket can take that content, sort it into logical groups and help me keep on top of things in an efficient way.
I have a similar device I use for meetings. So, I’m curious to see this could possibly change my flow throughout the day to help me better organize my time and my life. Excited to learn more ways to is can help me!
Write a lot of reminders and notes manually about thoughts and todos. I used to have a far better working memory. I could use all the help I can get now and if it means I don’t have to Spend half the time correcting Siri then great :). Looking forward to Pocket(ing ? )
I have a 40 min drive to and from office when I keep thinking about todos, work stuff, ideas etc. most looking forward to recording them with one button click.
Brainstorming sessions. My friend owns a wildlife rehab and I’m on the board. We often brainstorm and it’s better to keep the thoughts flowing rather than constantly stop and write things down. I’m excited!
The first thing I’ll record is a writing idea that I want to hash out … but I’m looking forward to recording coaching conversations and see how it helps organize those activities.
A little backstory of how excited I am to receive my order.
The radial nerve in my right arm was severed after a spiral fracture of my humerus bone. My bicep, labrum, and rotator cuff were all torn and required the muscle be reattached, a metal plate, and 50 staples elbow to chest. It also left me with right wrist drop. After multiple surgeries, including a transfer of my finger tendons to my ulna nerve. I have about 40% use.
I will be using Pocket to “write/speak” my father’s biography. For me, this might as well be an assisted medical device.
Honestly, for me, it just depends on what meeting comes up first after I have it. But I doubt I will wait for a meeting (though I have them regularly). I am an avid journaler and writer. I will probably give it its first test run with my own creative juices and thoughts. Excited to see all the ways it helps my in personal and work life!
