I’m anxiously awaiting my Pocket! I check for updates daily. But totally understand the current delays!
My original plan for the Pocket is for work purposes, tracking some supervision I do with staff members and logging what I work on. However, I was wondering if anyone has used it or has thought about using it for logging food intake? I’ve never been able to stay consistent with apps like myfitnesspal, wondering if Pocket would be useful for this?
Love this! What would be really cool is if it could eventually integrate with tracking apps like my fitness pal, so we can just tell it to put it in there for us
I don’t have my pocket right now… but in my head it would work like this:
You’d need to subscribe to the Pro plan.
You’d tell it what you’re eating. The calories and stats (or maybe not, cause AI? Play around with it). Like. “I’m eating a handful of green grapes, 1 chicken breast and 1 cup of rice for lunch".
Then you’d be able to conversate (yes I’m keeping that word) with pocket and ask it to calculate your caloric intake for the day based on what you told it you ate.
Then maybe in the future with Zapier when integrated more with pocket. You could push the data to MyFitnessPal or whatever people use now-a-days.
This is 100% my theory. But that’s what I’d assume you "should” be able to do with pocket.
Plus it’s like 1030 and I’m refreshing my tracking 30 times in the last 20 mins. And this at least gave my fingers something different to do for 5 mins. Also I am interested in hearing from the pocket team on how far “off" or “on" my theory or use case is
Sure. But from my understanding they don’t have that hammered down yet. So you have to converse with pocket which requires the pro plan to do more than 2-3. Id imagine you’d want to converse more than just a small handful of times which is why I mentioned the need for the Pro plan. I could be way off. It’s just my understanding of the features/usage.
