I’m a big fan of the magsafe ecosystem. I have a Mous case on my Pixel 10 with an inexpensive wallet attached that I trust with my cash, cards, and identification. It’s quite difficult to remove without force.
To my surprise, the Pocket doesn’t stick well at all and wiggles a bit at the lower, vertical magnet. Is this to be expected? Anyone else experiencing this? I’m hesitant to slap it on the back of my phone without fear of it falling off.
I find it’s a bit easier to shift at the bottom than the top but I still have to apply pressure. I’m using a TechWoven case on an iPhone 17 Pro.
The Pocket is not as firmly attached as the portable Belkin MagSafe charger I use but it seems fit for purpose to me. It’s hard to say though, if our situations are analogous given the difference in phones and cases.
Yep, it definitely rotates at the bottom using the MagSafe adapter it came with. I’m hoping a stronger connection would resolve the rotating issue. This isn’t an inexpensive solution, but I think I will try it: MagSafe Pocket Accessories - #6 by dps
I have a Peak Design iOS case and confirmed it has a VERY firm connection. So with proper equipment, it should stick well (even if Pocket’s magnet is less than ideal, a stronger one on the phone could solve this).
