I’m quite happy with the pocket, but I am very frustrated with the device that sticks to the back of my iPhone and causes my phone case to bulge outward too much for me to reach the controls on the side. This is very frustrating, even though I have tried several different phone cases they all prevent the phone from fully snapping into place and rendering its operation impossible. You need to fix this ASAP!

You need a case that is mag friendly. No issue with mine.

Which one did you use that works well? I lost my pocket last night and I’m hoping to find it so that I can follow up on your suggestion.
Hi. I don’t recall case brand - I will take a pic with another phone and send it here. What iPhone model do you have? I assume it has MagSafe feature for wireless charging.

I don’t know where you live, but I’ll bet you a drink. I’ve solved your problem. The ability of pocket to stick to the back of your iPhone is dependent upon having the Pocket device facing the right way with the correct front/back side of pocket facing towards you. Facing the wrong way won’t attach. See pic.

Good hunch, but I had already been doing that. In fact, if I turn it upside down with the indicator light at the bottom, it won’t even attach. If anyone is reading this thread, would you please let me know if you have a phone case for an iPhone, roughly iPhone 14 or newer, that fits well enough to not obscure the buttons on the side of the phone? I need to know what your brand is, or at least the model, especially if you bought it from Amazon.

I see that a post was flagged by the community and is temporarily hidden. I don’t know if it’s the post from jherron58 or if I am being silenced. I am still asking my community for some help here. As I am looking for a phone case that will not interfere with using my iPhone’s side buttons. Please let me know what you are using that works.
My pocket came with a metal ring with adhesive on one side that you can stick to your phone case. That solves the physical problem. My phone case holds credit cards in a little pocket there. The credit cards prevent using the Mag charger, so I don’t try to recharge from the phone that way. At least that ring enables me to carry the pocket with my phone.

They make great cases.
I use an iPhone 15 Pro Max. The case is a magsafe Flaunt brand case, and I have an Ohsnap brand magnetic phone grip attached. The Pocket sticks just fine to the Ohsnap on its own, but I wanted extra protection for the Pocket. I bought this magnetic wallet from Amazon. The Pocket fits quite snugly into the magsafe wallet. The wallet doesn’t obstruct any of the ports or buttons on my phone or the Pocket device, AND it has an incredibly strong hold onto my phone case even over the top of the Ohsnap phone grip. Like, I have to struggle to slide the Pocket wallet from the back of my phone! My setup hasn’t had any negative impact on the functionality of the Pocket device at all.

That’s pretty neat. However, I don’t see a case on your actual phone unless I am missing something.If you are using a case, what are you using?
I removed my phone from the case so I could take pictures of the setup. When I was finished taking the pictures, I just popped my phone back into the case.

But as I asked before, if you do have a case and you are using it, what is the case that you are using that allows the buttons to function properly on the side and not be concealed by the case? Is your magnetic ring inside the case attached to the phone itself? That is what is causing the bulge in my case, rendering the buttons inaccessible.If you are using the ring attached to your phone and the case, then over it, and you can access your buttons easily, I would love to know the specific brand and model case that you are using. So, I’ve read this post several times and I think the OP might be trying to place the Pocket device on the phone and then the case directly overtop. I might be wrong but “sticks to the back of my iPhone and causes my phone case to bulge outward too much” and “fully snapping into place” in addition to the response to Beckie_Leigh stating “If you are using the ring attached to your phone and the case, then over it,” indicate there is signficant confusion over the Pocket placement. @AlphaBeta , in case this is helpful, please be sure to place the case on your phone before attaching the Pocket device to the outside.
I have already solved the problem, as I indicated in my most recent post, because I found a case that fits over the phone and has a built-in MagSafe, eliminating the whole problem.He’s also much stronger than the MagSafe provided by Pocket.
Since the MagSafe provided by Pocket is very weak and creates problems with cases that bulge so much from that MagSafe that the buttons don’t work I simply found a case that worked. I never did put the pocket in backwards like you thought. I was doing it correctly from the beginning.Thanks for all the help that people are suggesting, but this thread really needs to be concluded since I have found a useful solution.
I hope others will try the case that I recommended for more than the reason I originally bought it.
