So I’ve left my Pocket at home accidently a couple times, which sucked. Was curious if there was any thoughts on having a option to use the app on the phone only to record conversations in the event you don’t have your Pocket with you? I think that would be an amazing option for those times when you don’t have it with you but encounter a situation where the discussion should be documented/action items identified.

You can record through any app i.e. voice memos and upload the audio file to Pocket. Click the … button on the top right of the home tab and select “Upload audio”
That’s great to know! Having a integrated option to record with phone only in the app would be pretty cool though. Nice to know I have a workaround!!
My 2 cents on this is please don’t add a phone recording option within the Pocket app. Pretty much every phone made has a built in recorder so adding that to the Pocket app just adds unneeded bloat to the app. I love lean apps that work well.
My thoughts are the opposite of the previous commoner. I don’t see that as a needed bloat, but core functionality.
Many times, I do leave my pocket somewhere or it needs to charge when I have thoughts or I’ve already stacked enough things on the back of my phone and I want to record a note and send it to my pocket cloud so I’m having to use Smart voice recorder to take my notes and then import, filtering audio only, and choose the timestamp because it doesn’t Auto use the recordings file Timestamped.
Havingrecording and everything integrated into the app seems like an obvious feature that is missing and one that would make me consider alternative all-in-one solutions. Just because you can take extra steps and walk to the grocery store that’s 10 miles away, you likely won’t If you have access to other transportation, that’s more convenient and quicker.
Pleaseexcuse the typos, I’m just using voice dictation as I have impaired vision and use pocket as part of my workflow so I don’t have to rely on multiple apps or switching things because it makes it even more difficult.
I personally cannot use the contact mic with my phone in case set up. Plus I use a wallet on my magsafe. Now saying that I have stacked multiple things and it gets really big on my wallet and wish the pocket had magnets on both sides so I didn’t have to rely on adhesive magnets to keep stacking things.
While ranting, it would be nice to be able to disable the contact mic toggles since it’s useless for my use cases. Literally about to use hot glue on it.
