I keep getting this pesky error
hey is this with the new update? could you try reinstalling the app?
Yes, with the new update. Will try to install again and see what happens
is it too late to get in on the MacOS app
hey! you can download the same at docs.heypocketai.com
Just installed the newest windows desktop version (0.2.25). It appears that I no longer have access to view transcripts of my recordings, only the summary. Is this accurate, or did it just move and I am not finding it. Being able to edit transcripts and especially assign speakers in the desktop app was a game changer for me because the speakers are very rarely correct and it is much easier to make the changes on the desktop than to have to pull out my phone every time.
hey @djrjr gimme 10min just checking this!
No, it is definitely a conversation, I have daily highlights disabled. Thank you for looking into it.
Just updated to 0.2.26 and transcriptions are back. Thank you for getting that resolved so quickly. You guys are awesome.
Upgraded to 0.2.26. When I have finished a recording, I have 2, 3, or sometimes 4 copies of the conversation. The attached pic shows 2 copies of one and 4 copies of a second one.
I also have to verify that there is a transcription occurring, sometimes stopping and restarting a recording, in order to ensure that I have a conversation that I can use. It seems that if the app is processing or resummarizing a conversation, it canât multitask on a new recording.
I have found âreloadingâ the app after each recording and before your next recording helps to eliminate this bug
Thanks for the reply. What do you mean by âreloadingâ? Reinstalling or exiting the app and starting? I have tried exiting then restarting but it only works some of the time. Shutting my computer down and restarting doesnât seem to make a difference and the app isnât overloading my cpuâs. Thatâs why I think itâs caught in some backend processing.
Can you tell me where the app stores the recorded conversations? I know the application is stored in AppData/Local/Pocket and it appears that a bunch of .tmp files are created under a Temp folder. I had a 2 hr convo being processed in the app when it froze and didnât list it when I exited and restarted. I would like to see if I can restore the actual recording.
in the desktop app go to settings > overview > export. Click on export and a window will pop up will all the locally stored file types you can export. If the file you are looking for is not there, it most likely did not save during the restart. I have encountered this before during a freeze, but it was on earlier versions of the desktop app. The most recent version is v2.26
My version is 2.26.
I expect a cached recording that hasnât been uploaded to the cloud yet if the app freezes or the connection drops, then on restarting, it would finish uploading or processing. It doesnât save anything that I can see.
The app freezes within 3-5 seconds after I stop the recording so I can see that it is at 0% completion but at least recognizing that the recording is finished and trying to process it.
I have now lost 3 recordings totaling 7 hrs due to the app locking up since my upgrade to 2.26. I have recorded several times between those that succeeded. My system has 64 GB RAM and 200 GB free on the drive for recordings so I doubt itâs a problem caused by insufficient hardware.
Local recordings is the first place I checked. It isnât there. The last recording I have is from yesterday.
