Transcript not picking up speaker

I recently had a 1:1 meeting via Teams where I used the web app for Mac OS. Throughout the almost hour-long meeting, pocket-recorded the entire meeting as one speaker. It did not seem to pick up or separate the conversation between the two speakers.

hey could just be a one off model issue I will get my team to look at this though

@mhirrrr Something else, I am noticing is that Pocket does not seem to be capturing my voice to transcribe all of the sudden. I just completed another meeting with multiple people and nothing that I said was captured. Using the web app for Mac OS on the latest version. I use apple airpods as my headphone and microphone.

Sometimes it will grab an “um, ok” or “that sounds good” but it sporadic and is missing my part of the conversation.

hey is this the desktop app?

it doesn’t seem like anything has changed on our end would suggest using the pocket device meanwhile! escalating this

Yes all on the desktop app for Mac OS v2.24

so I just checked we haven’t made a change could you just download the audio and confirm? That it’s not picking up the audio

almost all of my conversations are on teams, using airpods. My surroundings prohibit me from using my computer speakers so using the device is not really an option

Yes, I will investigate that now

given it’s still the previous version with no changes could you please cHeck if there was a change in permissions?

All permissions are still intact

Do you know what the average download time is for an audio file of a meeting that is 1 hr and 45 mins? I tried to initiate a download on both the web app and mobile app. Both have been “processing” for the past 10 minutes. My screen just went black on my phone, when I woke my phone back up, I say the “export failed” in the mobile app.

these should not be big files so now more than a minute on good internet (around 200mb)

The file did finally download from the web app (it took about 15 minutes). My internet is pretty average so that seemed a little longer that it should have taken.

I listened to the audio and in the parts where I was talking there is complete silence. It seems there is an issue with pocket recording my voice from the airpod microphone.

so there were no updates made from our end, If it was working yesterday it should today as well any chance you could just reinstall the app?

I noticed this issue on Tuesday, but was hoping it was isolated to just one meeting. Everything before that was working fine. I will try to reinstall the app. I have another group meeting at 3pm CST and can report back if the re-install fixed the issue.

I just completed another meeting after reinstalling. Something I noticed that I did not mention before is that both the desktop and mobile app are no longer auto summarizing, even though that function is selected in both the desktop and mobile app. I noticed this happened again after reinstalling. So after concluding a conversation recording on the desktop, I have to open the mobile app, select the new meeting recording after syncing with the cloud, and manually tell it to summarize.

I also verified after starting the recording that pocket was connected to my microphone and teams (see image).

The issue has persisted, even after reinstalling the desktop app. I was not picked up in the transcript at all. I am still waiting for the audio file to download (20 mins so far), but I suspect my portions of the conversation will be silent. EDIT: confirmed my portions in the audio file are silent

hey @bduden not sure what is happening here attaching @satyamx64 here we just checked on our systems and it seems good. Will check what could he the case. Could you please try without your AirPods and let us know if it’s capturing your audio.

I suspect for some reason the app is is not choosing the proper audio stream

auto summary starts loading only after audio is uploaded so it could be a little delayed

@mhirrrr @satyamx64 Confirmed that audio was captured and transcript picked up a speaker when doing a test without airpods, using my Mac’s native microphone.

Indirectly related, speaker assignments, from additions made in the mobile app are not syncing correctly to the desktop. Image shows what the transcript looks like in the desktop after being edited in mobile.
