For me, sometimes it depends on who I’m meeting with. I have a competing device that has magsafe. Sometimes I don’t say anything, sometimes I tell them it’s battery charger, sometimes I tell them it’s an AI recording device to be sure I don’t miss anything we talk about and that I can email them the audio and/or discussion and summary if they would like. So far, no one had an issue with recording and no one has asked for a recording.
After my Client meetings, I copy the files from my device and add them to the Client’s folder on my Mac for reference. Since that syncs to the cloud, I always have everything on my iPhone available as well.
I use a competing product currently, and no one’s ever asked to be honest. But since it’s so discreet and my phone is usually face up with the recorder underneath , and it still records really well with the microphones that it has, so I don’t bring it up because people will typically think it’s a battery charger.
