Thank you for asking! It was on my list of first day stuff I didn’t understand.
I haven’t seen this, but is it possible they match up to the speaker colors? So Speaker 0 has grey checkboxes and Speaker 2 has orange?
Need to get confirmation but I think you’re right! I just looked at the transcript and there are several different colors and they do seem to match the checkboxes. @mhirrrr can you confirm? Thanks!

@mhirrrr Can you give some more details on this? What are all the colors? What order are they in?

@mhirrrr related bug I was going to post - clicking the actual checkboxes does not check them. You have to click the text next to them. In this screenshot, clicking where the red arrow points does not work, you have to click where green arrow goes.
We have fixed this will show up in next update!

Bumping this back to the top for clarification on the color meanings
Today I checked a few items on the web version. The checks did not transfer to the mobile app. Not did the opposite happen if I checked on the mobile app, it didn’t transfer to the web app.
Also, if you refresh the web page, the checks disappear 
So, I’d like to suggest that the check boxes “work” on both the mobile and web apps.
