What’s the first thing you’ll record with your Pocket?

I’ve had a Bee for several months now and I like just recording my daily life. The end of day summary is a great reminder of what happened. Allows me to journal without journaling.
So I’ll do a few days of recording all day to compare. Then I’ll probably use it for work calls and brainstorming sessions.

The intent was to bring Pocket to a national convention in which I’ll be attending multiple workshops a day. Unfortunately it looks like I’m barely going to miss that opportunity.

Generally, Pocket will be my business companion, helping me make the most of every client call. My bookkeeping clients have all kinds of needs when they call and being small business owners, they are a bit scrambled, not always speaking in an organized manner. My notes from those calls are shuffled by default because that’s how the client communicates their needs.

Pocket will help me consolidate the many ideas they put out there during one of these calls, making it impossible for me to forget anything my client spoke out loud to me. I’ll be an even more powerful leader of my firm and take my client experience up a notch or two, setting me apart from the competition even more.

This is going to make my daily work life SO much easier. As a social worker I meet with different families daily and drown in having to write summaries of each visit. On day one, I plan on diving right into my day. At night my mind constantly races through my different clients, hoping I didn’t miss anything we talked about. Now I can truly let my brain rest!

Solo mom, executive, meetings, huge teams, major things in play, writer, trying to fit in school, keep up with the house, learn new tech, biz travel, make sure I remember to pick up dry cleaning, be strategic at work etc. It’s non-stop.

My day is fluid weaving in and out of all of the above all day - I literally log my day, the whole day in a word doc, review at the end, pull out taskers, to-dos… for the last 25 years. Diligent, and it works incredibly well keeping me on task.

I can’t fathom having this happen in real time. I’ve been daydreaming of what kind of time this may give me back.

Now if Pocket could mow my grass I’d be set.

I will use mine for meetings — my ADHD brain needs the assist — but I am first going to use it to write a novel I’m working on. I often have ideas come to me when I don’t have time to pull out the laptop or my notebook.

I used Bee, also. And Voicenotes AI. And HyNote. And…lol. Bee was too general for my needs. HyNote always stopped recording ten or so minutes into a meeting. Voicenotes has worked the best, so far. I’m excited to see the potential power of Pocket. I think it will be exactly what I’ve wanted.

For me it’s my thoughts that pop into my head throughout the day. I can’t ever recall the small, possibly significant thoughts, which can help me build real momentum throughout my work day and personal life. Being able to succinctly recap my thoughts with the power of AI will fuel my creativity and drive.

I have impaired hearing. I will use it for business or meetings. I also may use it for travelling - it’s not easy for me to get the gate announcements, delays, etc.

I want to try it first with a customer meeting and see how it goes. I’m hoping this will be a huge time saver for me because I normally take lots of manual notes. So excited to receive it!

I’ll definitely be using it to record meetings. But I’m always excited to see how it works in healthcare. Do we know if it meets HIPPA requirements?

Although retired, I’m Secretary/Treasurer of a new nonprofit and hope to have my Pocket set up in time for our October meeting (end of month, and I have a tracking number so I think I’ll have it). I currently use an AI app to record and summarize meetings, but am looking forward to the Pocket to have something that does more than the app and doesn’t slow down my computer.

Virtual team meeting. I’m so excited to get action items automatically summarized for me!

I look forward to using it in a few contexts.

At home: I’m curious to capture my conversations with my wife and kids and then look back on and get coaching on how I interact with them.

At work: I lead a lot of of discovery and solution in calls and when I’m in the midst of brainstorming solutions, it’s hard to catch her all the notes and follow ups that are required to bring that solution to life.

Personal work: I have a lot of conversations in my head about different ideas that I might want to explore or concepts I might want to research. This will allow me to have conversations with myself and then follow up with them later.

Yes! And then hopefully be the executive function that says what’s best to do when.

I am excited to receive my Pocket and I think I will test it out on an external meeting that I have with a vendor once I receive it.

First few days, I’m going to try throwing my entire day at it and see how it performs. I’ll try to see what adds value to me, where it shines and basically things that spark an interest. Once I get a bit more familiar with it is when I plan to start trying to mold it to my specific needs.

It helps that we get unlimited usage but not sure how much the 128GB of space would be able to sustain this behavior.
