Auto-recording due to new firmware update? or something else?

I don’t know if something changed with new firmware/software update. But now its happened twice in two days, so I dont think its user error on my part. Yesterday I discovered recording was on and my Pocket had been recording for 5 hours, before I discovered and stopped it.

Same thing happened this morning, I did not launch and hit “record”, but noticed it had been recording for 4 hours.

did something change in the last day or so?

Hey @sidd_heypocket thank’s for pointing this out we are not aware of any change that might have caused this. We are investigating this.

Thanks for the ultra quick response (as always). I am assuming because its a “long” recording, its going to take a few minutes now for the sync, which is practically tough to keep app foregrounded (wifi sync fails as soon as screen goes dark). just so it can sync and then i can delete!

Just to provide another update. there was actually multiple recordings - some at 1:30AM local time, definitely wasn’t using Pocket then. (now I have to make sure i don’t keep pocket attached to my phone during non-work times). One good feature request for “long” running recordings might be to have a notification along the lines of “are you still there?”

Similar or same here. When I pulled Pocket out of my pocket, found it had been recording for hours. Will keep watching for this.
