Charging -and later, power coming on when cable detached

i planned to do a recording tonight. This will be the 2nd time i will have used the Pocket.
In preparation, i wanted to make sure it was 100% charged so i plugged in the charging cable. A few hours later i detached it from charging.
During this whole process, before and after, i didn’t touch a button.
Now that i have returned to finally use it i found the light is on (colored blue). So, when i unplugged this it seems to have launched into some active mode. This is weird.
When i charge an iphone or ipad, the device doesn’t stay on unless i push a button and make it turn on. I now need to charge the Pocket again since it seems to have been unknowingly draining battery life after i unplugged it. I didn’t bother to look at the charging light.
For something that is supposed to be intuitive, for me, this doesn’t seem to be it.

hey @Genart7! When the blue light is on, the device is in standby mode and ready to use. To start recording, press the button on the right side, then press it again when you want to stop. The good news is that standby mode uses minimal battery life—significantly less than when actively recording—so you shouldn’t see much drain when it’s just sitting idle with the blue light on.

Let me know if you’re experiencing something different or if you notice unusually high battery drainage. Happy to help troubleshoot!
