Side Button Function

Hi, a new user here. I notice that I cannot get the side button to start/stop a recording. The button works to power on/off, check the battery. The only way I can start/stop is via the controls in the iPhone app. Is that normal?

Here’s what I found: The side button starts/stops recordings with a SHORT press. Very short. A longer press does something else. Try short press, get the buzz indicating start of recording. After some difficulty getting the hang of this, now working perfectly for me.
