Transcription is now "choppy"

Couldn’t quite think of the word I wanted to use to describe what I am seeing, but it feels choppy. When I check my transcriptions lately, they are broken into short segments, not even full sentences. I have many lines of the same speaker. Previously, the transcription kept the sentences of the same speaker together.

I attached a screenshot.

Is there something that changed, or a setting I need to adjust? I don’t like the way the transcription is presented now.

Interesting, mine has always been like this, going back to when I first got it in December. It is one of my biggest frustrations because of the extra work required to properly assign speakers. I would love to be able to have sentences from the same speaker all together in a single entry.

I really liked how they were when I first started using it. Very easy to read. Can’t quite tell when it changed, so I may have to go back and look and see.

I also can’t highlight all –> copy/paste the whole transcript anymore. Very frustrating. I used to be able to do this

The download transcript feature generates an unreadable single page pdf.

Okay so the root cause is that you now have editable lines when you click transcript…

the workaround is annoying. I now have go settings → bulk export → select the conversation → pdf → download → unzip the zipped file → copy/paste..

please please please make an update here team. This is so many unnecessary steps.

hey! we are rolling out improvements for this should show up in future meetings do let us know how that looks for you!

I also notice you can no longer ask pocket to fix things as before

hey please enable the pocket rewrite option! To do the same. Should be in the input you see right at the bottom of the screen

I’ll try that. I thought that would rewrite the entire summary. I was using “Ask Pocket” to change names in the summary and fix misspelled items

Huge improvement today vs. what I had previously. I’m actually getting full sentences assigned to a speaker. Thank you!

Same here. Seems much better than yesterday!

I just want the transcript as one long running cluster of paragraphs I can highlight, copy, paste into my reports. Is this not possible?

Replying to my own comment if it helps others. PocketTeam noted for me to just tell the AI what I wanted and it worked.

I literally put in the AI box when creating the Custom Template:

Summarize as paragraphs. Do not break up into categories or separate by speakers………

I had other stuff, but typing something like that fixed my “choppy” issues as the OrigPoster noted.
