Unable to enable Pocket Pro

Got my Pocket a couple of days ago and tried it out on a youtube video of a lecture from one person with OK results. It was probably 80% accurate with the transcription, which is a bit disappointing, but not horrible.

Last night I had the opportunity to record a 4 hour class with myself, one other student, and the instructor. The transcript was horrible. About 33% accurate. Unusable. To be fair, the people were moving around a bit, changing distance from the mics, and the tone and volume of speech changed as discussion switched from instructional to conversational and back.

But speaker labeling didn’t work at all. Pocket thought it was all “Speaker 1,” even though I had the other two people state their name clearly.

So, I was poking around and thought that maybe I needed to enable the Pocket Pro features to try a better AI agent to transcribe the audio. I’m not sure regenerating even applies to the transcription. It looks like it might only apply to the summary?

Anyway, I said all that to say that I’m unable to enable Pocket Pro. When I click on the “Try Pocket Pro” button in the app, a screen pops up with a spinning progress circle and nothing else happens. I’ve let it run for over 5 minutes with no change. I’ve restarted the Pocket device, restarted the app, and restarted the phone with no change in results.

I also had to turn off my DNS server in order to sync via WiFi, which is unacceptable to me. I won’t be able to use Pocket if I have to keep my chosen DNS server turned off.

I know this is a lot, but I’m really looking for help in enabling Pocket Pro and/or my Founder’s features. I’m hoping that this disappointing Pocket conversation is due to settings that can be fixed!

Is there a simple fix to get my founders benefits and Pocket Pro trial enabled?

I’ve tried using mobile data, and disabling my firewall on my home network, neither changes the result.
