with pocket, does the data get’s stored on device OR does it get’s stored on cloud? if it’s on cloud then how is it secured?
@0xaryan please see here where we answered the same question Where are the recordings stored? - #2 by pete-w
I read the response and it answered the question… sort of. Where physically are your servers located? As in, which legal jurisdiction are they located in? I ask because our OIS department has strict policies where (as in which legal jurisdictions) data can be stored. Thanks!
@donbarger Pocket stores recordings locally on-device first. That’s part of its “local-first” design for privacy and control.
When data is uploaded for AI processing, it’s encrypted end-to-end and handled through cloud infrastructure hosted in the United States, under U.S. legal jurisdiction.
Ugh, that’s not great. Any plans to move/expand to a country with better privacy laws?
@DaveNgl possibly in the future.
Thanks! That’s what I was hoping. In my case, our rules prevent data from NOT being stored outside of the US.
