I had the same issue.

The packaging of the device is over the top fabulous, but I couldn’t get it to sync. The page that says “How it works” should mention the QR code and insist that you start with it.

I saw the QR code as I was flipping through the pamphlet but it took me a while to figure out that I needed to start with the QR code.

Hello, my pocket says its already linked to an account….where can I see / remove the account its linked to?

You signed in through your apple id which creates a private email which you are seeing. Sign in back with the same apple sign you had previously used.
