Issue with Uploading pdf files for analysis

Hi,

Is it possible to upload PDFs for processing/analysis (e.g an article)? When I consulted Ask Pocket, it said that you can upload “audio and document” files directly to your library for processing” via Pocket Web (app.heypocket.com) ro Pocket Desktop. I tried uploading a pdf file using Pocket Web but it wouldn’t allow me to upload a pdf file. The message was “file failed validation”. However, it doesn’t to have a problem with audio or video files. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks,Shin59

hey! currently we only support uploading audio but we have external context upload under development should be live in the next few weeks

Ok, great!

Thanks,
Shin59

Any updates on when the external content uploader will be available?

Thx.

So if I attached like a PDF related to a meeting or something, would Pocket actually utilize the information in the PDF? Or is it just like a bonus feature to manage files, but doesn’t really do anything as far as the AI is concerned? I’m not sure how to explain that… hopefully my question makes sense.

hey javd207!

So if you attach the PDF (or any other notes) during the meeting, they are taken into context while generating the summary.

Is that a recent update? It didn’t seem to be the case the last time I tested. Thinking that even just uploading a list of attendees might help with identification/spelling if this is the case.

I assume I can attach after the fact and regenerate the summary with the same effect, right?
