Understanding the conversation mode switch

Is my understanding correct that the switch should be in the upper position if I am recording a phone call and Pocket is attached to my back of my phone? What if I change to speakerphone? And is there any way to capture a conversation if I’m using my AirPods?

As of today, there’s no way to capture the other end of a call when you use AirPods, you’d only be able to capture your side.

Switch up = contact mics

I think that is a great question, what happens if I start my meeting on speaker phone and pocket in speaker mode, but then have to change to listen directly on the phone. Do we switch the mode on pocket in the middle of the recording? Will it continue to record if we do so? Also, reverse the scenario.

I do forget as well which mode is up or down. I think on the 2nd gen of pocket it would be great to put some type of symbols on the switch to give visual indicators of which mode it’s in.

@Dhut1832 possible hack - you could use a sharpie to put a small dot on the side or back of the unit near the switch to represent one of the modes.

This would be something that would be super helpful to be able to record with headphones on even if it is through the app somehow. I want to use this for meetings and if I am not in my office often need to use AirPods for calls and not being able to record. Perhaps there could be a way to use the app side to dial in like other ai meeting transcription tools???

Yeah, I already inquired about/suggested this via email before I purchased. Similar to how the Granola app works (iOS and desktop).
