Update on the grey summary issue

Hello folks,

We’ve received some complaints from our users (especially from Europe), where the summaries were getting blocked by a grey overlay.

The bug was caused by a localization issue that appears when your iOS system language (not the Pocket app language) is set to something other than English, German, Italian, or French.

We’re actively adding support for more languages, but until the updated build is approved, please use this workaround:

Go to Settings → General → Language & Region and temporarily switch your system language to English.

Alternatively, you can access your summaries at app.heypocket.com in the meantime.

We already have the proper fix submitted and should have the update out within the next few hours, pending Apple’s review.

Appreciate your patience!

The updated build has now been approved by the App Store and can be downloaded directly from there. We’ve already verified the fix on a few customer devices and everything appears to be working as expected.

We’re continuing to expand our language support as well. In the meantime, the app should work with any native device language. You may still see some English fallback text if a language isn’t fully supported yet.

If there’s a specific language you’d like us to prioritize, please let us know.

Really appreciate your patience while we worked through this issue.

Thanks,
Satyam
