Wi-fi doesn't appear as an option on the "allow permissions" screen in app

In the set-up video, it looks like there should be an option for Wi-fi in the Allow Permissions screen. Unfortunately, it’s not showing up in the app as I’m setting up my new device. I just see Bluetooth, Location, and Notifications.

There are several posts about this already. Basically, it comes down to if you are using a vpn or if you are trying to connect on a work network. Either of these may need the Pocket to be approved in order to show the wi-fi option.

if it’s not either of these, please email hey@hepocket.com for some more in depth help

Nope, no VPN and I’m just using my home network. So now I’m getting the option to sync via wifi but it’s stuck at 0%. When I go into my wifi settings, it doesn’t even see the Pocket device. Yet somehow my 3-second test message was sync’ed. I don’t know if it happened via Bluetooth or wifi. I plan to sync much longer messages than 3 seconds, so I need to make sure the wifi option is functional. (Note: I’m using the Android app - just downloaded today - and have installed the firmware updates.)

I would hit up support via the email I posted

Hey @soussia,
