Initial Feedback

Received both of my units today. The unboxing and setup experience were great. No complaints there!

I have some initial thoughts on the app user experience. Keep in mind this is coming from a Google Pixel 10 Pro user (although a very long time iPhone user until recently.

  1. There doesn’t appear to be a way to play back the audio of the recording within the app. Maybe I missed it. The only thing I could think of was to export the recording. If you export from the … menu, then it’s a hassle to figure out where the file is saved. If you use the export icon within the meeting, then you can chose a location which is more intuitive. I concede the primary focus is the transcription/summary and less the raw audio, but I do like easy access to the source audio.
  2. Similarly, I would like the meeting transcript to be readily accessible. The card style interface would support having a card for the full transcript. Perhaps an option to enable it? Right now you have to click the … menu to get to the transcript.
  3. In comparison, the Google Recorder experience, although far more limited in features, gets the basic, intuitive user experience about right. The number of clicks or steps to get to the things I want are much smaller.
  4. I’m also a user of Plaud. Like Google Recorder, they make it easy to get to the transcription and audio playback. I definitely prefer the look and feel it Pocket and reduce the number of steps needed to get to what I want.

I use OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google models everyday for my job. I’ve learned to “trust but verify”. That is why I’m interested in easy access to the source audio and full transcript.

Keep up the great work so far. Lots of potential!
