Pocket has been working for me without a hitch for a week. Today I recorded a meeting - watched it recording the whole time on my phone. When the meeting ended, I did not get a prompt to import it - I think because a notification popped up on my phone. When I went back to try to locate it, there was nothing recorded.
So I basically lost an entire hour of a very important meeting that raised a number of key points. This is unacceptable. I thought that if the record function was showing on my phone, that my Pocket would automatically keep a recording of the meeting on it, whether I hit import now or not. I did not realize that if I don’t hit “import now” that the entire recording would disappear! This is a flaw, and all conversations that are recorded should be automatically uploaded, imported, saved, etc.
Please help me with how to avoid this in the future!
Hey @ilkd25 even if you don’t click Import Now the recording will not be lost you can click on “Check for New Memories” or Check if the file exists in. Look up Device Files from settings rest assured you should not be losing a meeting. Just confirming where did you stop the recording from the device or the phone?
Hi - I did both of those - checked for new memories and checked in Look Up Device Files. Nothing. It was definitely recording most of the conversation - I saw the soundwaves moving on the recording on my phone app. It ended automatically when we hung up - and then I didn’t get a prompt to Import Now. I have no idea where it is.
I recorded a 7-second test recording after that, which did pick up and I was able to import. I have since deleted that recording. No other recording showed up for today. So the Pocket is working, but for whatever reason, it did not record this prior hour-long meeting. Any other suggestions?
I had the exact same thing just happen, but both of my meetings from today did not record apparently. I’ve restarted the app, restarted the device, re-synced using every possible method and still nothing. Hugely disappointing.
