Pocket Desktop App!

Not a software guy, but is there an update planned to allow it to ride the signal of say an AirPod or an external mic?

Just got it, and while I mostly got it for my own thoughts as well as in person meetings, phone calls would be awesome, I just hate having my phone to my face and speaker phone in public isn’t it

hey! so we have a desktop app coming out (beta by friday) to allow you to use bluetooth mics as we figure out how to support bluetooth on the app!

Here’s a few things I’ve noticed:

  • Include all the features of mobile

    • Show me which model and theme I used

    • Show me the history

    • Allow editing of Title, Actions, Transcription, etc

    • Speaker Tagging

    • Allow me to regenerate

I love the time stamps in the Transcription!

I also really love the Headings of: Summary | Actionable | Mind map | Transcription at the top. I would really like that to be in the mobile app for speed.

CleanShot 2025-12-05 at 12.31.15

I would still like the option in Settings to turn Mind maps on/off as I will probably never use them and they just take up space for me

Just downloaded and will start to use. Look forward to giving feedback!

When I try to record a new conversation on Desktop I get this floating window that I can’t actually interact with. I can’t move it or click on any of the buttons. I had to load task manager to kill the whole Pocket process.

attaching @satyamx64 to take a look at this!

Would love to beta test.

Just download from the links at the top of this post

I would love to be part of the beta program!

Any suggestions for folks who work on corporate computers that block these types of installations? I am on 8-10 calls per week with headphones in Teams calls (I can’t use speaker) and I really would like Pocket to work for me but right now it doesn’t.

Actually, I got the desktop app to install. Will it work in recording Teams meetings while I am on headphones?

I finally had the time to download the Mac desktop app. It looks nice.

The only thing I’ve noticed so far is(within the as of yet limited feature set) is that it shows the time in 24-hour time under meetings. I can’t find a way to adjust it to 12-hour time. It’s not a huge deal as I can do the math but I try to avoid doing math…

taking this into feedback thanks!

hey thanks for raising this.

the desktop app does detect the ideal input and output source automatically. so in your case, it should’ve picked up headphone over the system mic. can you confirm what happens currently? do you not see any transcripts at all while trying to record the call?
