Pocket won’t connect after firmware update

Has anyone else experienced this after updating their Pocket?

Immediately after the firmware update, my device stopped connecting and became unresponsive with a solid blue light. Holding the side button for five seconds would not turn it off.

I completed the factory-reset sequence: triple-click, then hold during the red blinking. It returned to breathing blue, but when I tapped Connect in the app, the light turned solid blue and the app showed “Could not connect to Pocket.”

My setup:

  • Pocket app: 0.6.86+5929
  • iPhone iOS: 27.2

I contacted support and provided the requested details, but I haven’t received a follow-up response yet. The device is still unusable.

Has anyone found a fix? Could someone from the Pocket team help with firmware recovery or advise whether a replacement is needed?

Thanks,
Larry

Hi Larry,

After a firmware update, Pocket restarts on its own, which usually takes about 10–15 seconds.

If it still isn’t connecting after that, you can force a restart by holding the button for 15 seconds.

If the issue persists, please DM me:

  • The email you used for your account
  • The firmware version you updated to
  • A short video of what you’re seeing

I’ll take a closer look from there.

Thanks! I sent you a DM.

I still have no resolution to this. My pocket is not useable, no point in having the subscription if my pocket is a brick, so I have canceled my Pocket pro.

Is there a warranty for replacement? My return window to Amazon has closed and I have had very little support in getting this working.

Hi @Xcom, Sorry for the delay, We’ll get it replaced for you. Our team will reach out via email shortly.
