Whoemever rolled this out didn’t think about first impresssions. I’ve been waiting since Sep 30th, hearing my shipment was on it’s way! WOOOHOO! Still stuck in Whitter, CA since the last few days and waiting for USPS to pick it up (or is it DHL???). Who knows! Not sure what the issue is but not a good look. Apple would never do it this way!

@shaktimaan I’m with you on that. But then I had to remind myself that Apple is a multibillion dollar company so if they rolled out like this it would DEFINITELY be a problem. This is a STARTUP and they will have bumps and bruises with this. When we INVESTED in it, it was based on a dream that we would hope would come to production. You should be THRILLED, I’m still waiting on my initial tracking number. You will have yours waaaaaay before me. Many are getting theirs. Give the em a break don’t you think? Was the roll out perfectly executed? HECK no BUT it’s still being executed. We definitely have first world problems with this whole thing. I am still waiting to be in the boat like you and others. @shaktimaan Whittier is just the USPS hand-off point, so it’s already stateside. Updates can lag until USPS scans it in. Many from the same batch have started moving again, so yours should follow soon.
We’re still a small startup building something big, and we’re learning fast through this rollout. Appreciate your patience.

People complain about shipping delays from Apple every time a new phone is released.

I’m concerned and disappointed that I may not receive my order until sometime in November. I’ve bren emailed by Gabriel and told my order is scheduled to ship “about” October 15. I see some are saying they have an order# and others are tracking their orders for days now, but I’m not seeing any posts or questions & comments from people who have actually received their Pocket. With 5000 shipped as of September 28 and supposedly more since then, why haven’t many hundreds of orders already been received…it’s already 12th of October.

I’m in the same boat as you. Still waiting. But on another note I have seen plenty posting they have theirs and some just asking questions about features because they are using theirs. Some even posted pictures. So it’s positive that ones are getting theirs.

@jmeixner we totally hear you. Waiting is frustrating, and believe me, we want you (and everyone else) to get your Pocket as soon as possible.
A few clarifications:

Orders move in batches: production → QC → fulfillment → international leg → customs → USPS hand-off → last mile delivery, with plenty of smaller steps in between. Tracking often looks quiet until the USPS hand-off.

Most Pocket pre-order members aren’t even in this community yet , and many who’ve already received their units don’t post here - they just set up and go. Naturally, more people who are still waiting tend to post or ask for updates, while those who’ve received theirs often move on quietly. So the lack of hundreds “I got mine!” posts isn’t the full picture. There are quite a few mentions scattered in existing threads though e.g. Shipping Timeline Update - #101 by NicoleK

Deliveries are rolling in daily as customs clears and USPS scans start appearing. We expect quite a lot more this week.
If Gabriel mentioned your order is scheduled to ship around October 15, that’s the most accurate estimate available he had. We’re shipping again this week, and you’ll receive an email with tracking as soon as it’s generated.

Not complaing or anything, just curious. My pocket has been in Avanel, NJ and it still says USPS is waiting for the item. Does this mean that my Pocket is somewhere in customs still? I’ve been waiting a while which I have no problem with, I know these things take time, and that bumps come in the road of startups. I’m just curious as to what the status means

@Chefcarrillo08 When you see “Shipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting Item,” it means the parcel has already been registered with USPS but hasn’t fully been handed over to them yet. It’s currently somewhere between customs clearance and the USPS facility in Avenel, NJ.

I got the email that mine had shipped, but I never received any tracking information. I’ve only gotten generic responses like I HAD gotten a tracking number, but, nope. I have no clue if mine is coming or not… probably not…

Why are people so impatient over here, I just don’t get it. A lot of people are posting they are getting their Pockets every day. I love mine lol

@Jestrice2002 If I’m not mistaken you placed your order in early September, it’s actually part of the later batch. These units are scheduled to ship out by the end of October. You’ll receive an email with tracking as soon as your package is on its way.

When you hear a lot of good news, and you haven’t gotten yet, it’s easy for for you to be impatient. Also the expectation vs reality of when you were going to get it also creates impatience.
I hope to get it soon.

@SilentG Totally understand that - it’s natural to feel that way when you see others posting good news but haven’t received yours yet.
Please keep in mind it’s in our best interest to deliver every single order as soon as possible - we want that more than anyone else. But there are some things we just can’t speed up.
We’ve shared the latest update that all pre-orders will ship by the end of October, and we’re working super hard behind the scenes to make that happen.

I figured when I started reading about order numbers and such. The email saying mine was shipping 9/28 got my hopes up for a while. I know you guys have A LOT on your hands, and it’s nearly impossible for a smooth rollout of this magnitude. I have horrible shipping luck, so I’ve seen it all now, lol. I appreciate the confirmation of this; the initial replies I received assumed I had tracking info and didn’t offer much clarification. And it’s hard to not be impatient for something that can make my 5 jobs in 1 easier (while also being able to call my boss out on his errors!).

this is the worst fulfillment experience I’ve had in years. Received tracking on 30 sept, invalid. Finally updated 10 October to preshipment status. Now here we are 5 days later and there’s still zero movement. I hope your shipping partner is refunding you big for this.
I’m excited to one day receive my order and I hope you get your supply chain sorted out asap. Without sorting out your fulfillment I don’t see this as being successful long term.
