Summarizing Process "Hanging"

Possibly, I work on a college campus and use their wifi. Would it help if I switched to my mobile network?

That would be the issue seems like your will have to get our servers white listed by your college

Yes but for me it’s not hanging, just taking 30 to 45 mins to process a 19 second clip.

Started using it for the first 2 days, and all my conversations hung, and I never got a summary.

Should I send it back?

I’m using Pocket from home and not on a protected network or VPN. I have meetings from Monday (2 days ago) that still say “Hang tight, we’re pulling out the key points…”

Try force closing the app, opening, and then pulling down to refresh. It probably never got uploaded to the secure cloud. This seems to force an upload.

Thank you. That was a good idea, it seemed to work. However, that only worked for a couple of conversations. I have 3 more from Tuesday that are doing the same thing. Going to try a force quit again to see if the app gets past the blockage.

This may be related to a syncing issue. After a forced reset, the conversation now says that it needs to be synced. Syncing is something should happen automatically.

This is definitely not a great user experience and should be looked into as quickly as possible.

Hey @willchase uploads happen in the background when connected or we reconnect to a server when on vpn.

Hope I’m on topic here. My first recording was a long one. About three hours yesterday morning. When I touch the event, I see a summary screen for about 2 seconds and then the message “Uploading your recording… Your recording is being uploaded to the cloud” displays. My iPhone is connected to very fast wifi. In settings, Storage shows 0.0 GB/116.6 GB. The Firmware is up to date. Any suggestions?

hello everyone, I see everyone is experiencing the same issue. i have 7 audio pending to be sync between pocket and app with no success and when it does, once one audio is processed it leave the other unprocessed until I go back and click on sync again, but it never does. also notice that when it finally does sync, the app provide to no or very limited summary and I have to ask questions to provide a summary. must specify to provide a detailed summary or else otherwise it give a very generic and vague summary.

also, Question - can we connect our computer directly to the computer and download the audios that way? to use with an actual working AI to transcribe the audio??

The main issue here is that your recordings are not fully syncing. Pocket needs to first successfully sync the audio files to the mobile app (preferably via Wi-Fi) before it can generate summaries, action items or any AI features. If the sync is stuck or incomplete, the summaries will either not appear or will be very limited or duplicated.

So first step is:
• make sure the recordings sync fully,
• once they appear in the app without the “pending” status,
• then you can safely use Summary, Questions, Action Items, etc.

If the sync continues to fail — just let me know which phone you’re using (iPhone or Android) and I’ll help you fix it step by step.

Thanks for your response, the files are not downloading at all. I am using an android Samsung ultra S24. Like I mentioned, I alternate between wifi & Bluetooth. I also received notification of upgrading wifi. Which i downloaded last night. I will let you know if that helped…
