Summarizing Process "Hanging"

Has anyone experienced the summarizing process “hanging” and then appearing to stop and go back to the “summarize” button screen for a given recording? I’ve tried to restart the app, restart the pocket, and restart my iphone - all to no avail. Anyone had this happen and have any luck resolving it? Worked flawlessly on day 1 (yesterday), but this has started happening on day 2.

Having the same issue. Looks its trying to summarize… then stops. Repeats.

It seems to be “hanging” again (update: mine came through after a few more attempts)

yes, it does to me.. it eventually times out and returns me to the recording. I am also having issue with long syncing process with blue tooth & Wi-Fi connections. even thou it states if faster with Wi-Fi to sync, the process to get connected to Wi-Fi is another prolonged process. any work arounds or updates that can fix these syncing issue @Pocket owners?

Hey @clastevenson @MasterIEVC a lot of this happens because recordings do not upload to our servers due to which we arent able to process them

Speed of processing depends on network connection for upload, length of recordings we are working on more stuff to make sure we are uploading and processing recordings faster as well

@mhirrrr - :scream: what can we do about it… so syncing to the app is our audio uploading to your servers?

@mhirrrr - I have a gig internet connection with my wifi… just an FYI…

yep the audio is uploaded to our servers for processing

Yes, but it only uploads when we click on the audio to get the summary. as far as i can tell, the app doesn’t do it right after the audio syncs between the app and Pocket. and we have to click on sync in order it upload to the app, otherwise it won’t sync automatically.

Nope not the case audio uploads immediately after the sync happens unless wifi transfer is being used

Mine are hung up as well. It just keeps saying they are working on the summary but one has been like that for two days now.

Hey @michellivey seems like you aren’t able to connect to any of our servers are you on some kind of protected network or vpn?
