Your USPS tracking number is valid, it just hasn’t updated yet.
Right now, shipments are in transit through Hong Kong, one of the world’s largest transportation hubs. Because of the national holidays from October 1–7, tracking scans are paused and won’t show movement until couriers resume operations.
Once the holidays pass and processing continues, your USPS number will begin updating as normal. Nothing is wrong with your order, it’s already on its way.
Pocket pre-orders ship from Hong Kong - it’s simply the fastest way to get it into your hands straight from the production line. We use express shipping, but Golden Week and the typhoon have caused some delays.
US deliveries usually take 3–5 business days, though with the current situation, it might take a little longer. If you’ve got your tracking info, your Pocket’s already on the way. We appreciate your patience.

Yes! If you’ve got your tracking number, you’re locked in. Shipping resumes right after the holiday (Oct 7/8), and most deliveries from there will prob take 3-5 business days, depending on customs.
By the time your Pocket arrives, the app will be live and you’ll have full instructions ready to go. Almost there
The app should already be live since we were told this would ship on Sept. 28th, unless this delay was intentionally planned to line up with the holiday just to give them even more time without it being obvious. I emailed days ago asking for the link to the app but have not received a response.
@Bethbsexton No part of this was delayed to buy time or align with a holiday. The team’s been heads-down finalizing firmware and the app rollout, and we admit, the communication could’ve been tighter.
Just a note: even if you had the app link right now, you wouldn’t be able to use it without the device. When your Pocket arrives, you’ll find a QR code in the manual that lets you download the app directly and set everything up.
I agree! I have been (and still am) super excited for this to come! It is not my first rodeo with backing products in the development and vision casting stage. I have been on Kickstarter for years. I have leaned to be patient to. But like you, I have super excited for this and cannot wait to have it in my hands. I am anxious and anticipatory of putting it to good use!
We will have to compare notes, who gets it first. lol. Then we can be jealous of the other.
Thanks for the info! Do you know if there will be any surprise charges once they do ship? I had an order from another company that I ended up having to pay $18 in additional fees for the package to be delivered from out of the country.
thanks for this info! if we have to update our address (since i’ve moved since I bought this) how do we do that? I have mail forwarding but don’t want it to get lost.
Just thought I’d let all know – suddenly I got a notice from USPS that delivery is expected tomorrow for my Pocket. I’ll admit, my USPS notifications are sometimes off by a few days, but either way this is great news.
Is there any news on the shipments? My HiDock was shipped two days AFTER the Pocket, also coming from HK. It never “paused” for the holiday & shows it will arrive on Monday and yet the Pocket shipping has not updated at all. It doesn’t make any sense.
@Bethbsexton If you’ve received your tracking information, your parcel is already with the courier and on its way. Tracking updates will appear as it moves through the network.
I’ve got the P1, waiting for my P1 mini. I’m eager to see how my Pocket compares to the P1, particularly in terms of transcription accuracy and summary generation.
