I’m experiencing a recurring issue with my Pocket AI recorder and am hoping someone can explain what’s happening or how to prevent it.
On multiple occasions, I start a recording and receive positive confirmation from the device, including haptic feedback when the recording begins and again when I end the recording. Based on the haptics and LED behavior, the device appears to be recording normally.
However, when I attempt to sync afterward, no recording appears in the app. There is no audio file, no transcript, and no indication that a recording exists.
What’s confusing is that when I connect the device directly to my PC using a USB cable, I can see the audio file on the device storage, and the recording is intact and playable. This suggests the recording itself is being created correctly, but the app is either failing to detect it or failing to ingest it during sync.
To be specific
-
The device provides clear haptic confirmation for both start and stop
-
The recording does exist on the device when accessed via USB
-
The recording does not appear in the app after sync (Bluetooth or Wi-Fi)
This makes the device unreliable for real world use, since I can’t trust that a completed recording will be available in the app unless I manually connect it to a computer.
Is this a known issue with syncing, file indexing, or recording finalization?
Is there a recommended workflow to ensure recordings consistently appear in the app?
Any guidance or acknowledgement of this issue would be appreciated.
