Well, now my software version is 0.3.21+195, but when I scroll down to look at the versions of the firmware and wifi firmware, there are just a pair of hyphens (–) in each slot. Hmmm …
Two minutes later, and I’m back to showing 0.7 as my firmware and V4 as my WiFi firmware. Both still (again?) say they’re up to date, so I’ll check again later. Everything is working well, so I’m not worried.
I’m on an Android … and my response has to be 20 characters
EDIT: Okay, 10 minutes have passed, and I restarted my phone. Lo and behold! There was an update in the Play Store. Now, I’m on software version 0.3.23+199!
This early adopter thing is pretty exciting - Akshay and the whole team are making things happen very quickly!
Pocket WiFi v3 (absolutely will NOT update, have tried at least 30 times at various locations and from other mobile devices paired to it. I have no Android devices to make an attempt.)
I had the same issue. I tried everything multiple times, and then a few days ago it randomly worked. For clarity, I did have to turn off auto-join of all other wi-fi networks in the area I was and turn off my VPN. But once it did connect, I did not have to do the steps found in their troubleshooting guide. With that said, the few times since then that I have tried to use the wifi sync it simply won’t connect.
Look at ya’ll with WiFi firmware V6. Still stuck here at v3. Will not update, will tell me 10 times it did the update successfully to just not have done it at all.
Which seems so baffling to me since I can WiFi sync my data all day long and that works about 95% of the time.
@mhirrrr@bharat - could we get a proper changelog please? Maybe a locked forum thread where only the internal team can post. The App Store changelog always says “bug fixes” on iOS.
