Numerous attempts to update to WiFi v6.
- Error message “WiFi update failed: Socket Exception…”
I have
- Software version 0.4.7+216
- Firmware 0.8
- WiFi Firmware v4
Same here - sadness
Plus transferring by WiFi no longer works either. Tried the DNS 0.0.0.0. Still fails 
I am experiencing same thing. In fact, my settings within the app say I’m still on v3 of the wifi firmware, yet I have updated it multiple times. Sometime it says 100% complete then after waiting a few mintues it closes the dialoge box and says successfull. Yet still v3. Try update again and I get same error message as @Richard . I have done the steps to manually DNS 0.0.0.0 (only 3 periods) and even attempted twice out on dog walks when away from home or any known networks so I wasn’t connecting to them. It seems like it drops off the device’s wifi as soon as the firmware download is 100% but the device is blinking purple to unpack what it downloaded.
Hope I don’t need to completely reset my pocket device itself and start whole account from scratch. Been already using it for 2 weeks and have recordings / conversations synched bo prob.
Did this get resolved, i’m still v3, it says successful update but still shows v3, firmware is 1.2.

same issue for me. its been months with this issue. did the change to manual dns and specified 0.0.0.0. pocket app downloads update, says it has installed….go back to settings and still v3. my device SHOULD be on v7. Hard to be convinced to pay for pro when the device cant get on the latest build
