We have already fixed this issue in upcoming Pocket device firmware upgrade so tweak won’t be needed in the future

Do you have Android Instructions?
That guide (WiFi Firmware) does not seem to be valid for my S25U (and I’d imagine other Androids). You do not get the option to manually configure the IP settings, like you normally would with a WiFi connection.
Update: I kept trying to update the WiFi firmware, over and over, for the past few hours. Eventually it got ot 100% and moves to ‘verifying the firmware update’….to which it just fails over and over.
Same problem here. A few times I’ve gotten to about 70% but the wifi then disconnects and hangs. Latest iOS version here and have already gone through the troubleshooting and removed the DNS and also forgotten home wifi
I’m using an iPhone 16PM and have never been able to get it to connect to the wifi for syncing or updating or anything.
Was just able to do it. Didn’t work on an iPhone 17pm but did work on an iPhone 15pm in case that helps with troubleshooting.
So I ‘think’ was able to get the WiFi Firmware to update (v3 to v4). I pulled out my Samsung Tab A9+ tablet, and connected the Pocket device to that. I was able to run the update (took a couple tries) and it said it was successful and no error message.
However, in the settings it still shows v3 instead of v4 for the WiFi firmware version. If I tap the check for update option, it does come back saying the firmware is up to date. So at this point, I ‘think’ it is updated, but just not reporting the new version correctly in the app ui.
Update: Took turning the Pocket device off a couple times, and now it displays the correct v4 version in the App.
I’ve gotten to 100% multiple times, never actually finished the update and always still says it’s still on v3.
I’ve not only turned off my home wifi but I got in the car and went where there was zero chance of being in range of anything I’ve connected to before and the process remains unchanged. 100% and then it says the device is updating and then either an error or it just goes back to main Pocket screen.
I’m also curious where people are finding newer Pocket firmwares or what the official latest version actually is. Mine is 0.7 which the app says is latest but I see other posts about having 0.8 and even a WiFi v5….
iPhone 14 Pro, Latest IOS 26.0.1 and no wifi nearby to even connect to or remember.
I am having the same issues being discussed in this thread. Unable to connect to wifi for either wifi firmware updates or wifi synch. I get the same socket issue, have tried the steps discussed above and then I get a timeout issue. I will try emailing tech support I guess.
hello! I think im having a similar issue. When i attempt to update to wifi v6 it gets to 100%, goes through verification, but doesnt seem to apply correctly (it still says im on V3 wifi firmware). I was able to successfully update device firmware to 0.8. When i first received the device i was able to wifi sync recordings - but i havent been able to recently. I have attempted with and without the DNS sink (0.0.0.0) and i have tried all of the standard stuff (device on/off, wifi on/off, etc).
