I wanted to thank you Akshay. Every time I reached out on facebook they did respond. When I started to email (I live in Hawaii) factoring the time difference they still responded. I was frustrated with things, but couldn’t be “mad”. Then I got an invite to this site. This is amazing. The level of communication on here for especially a founding members channel blows my mind. To communicate with the whole team not just ones that are supposed to respond, is amazing. Definitely I will just sit patiently and wait for my unit. Until then this site is very appreciated. Building something new always feels a bit messy from the inside… time zones, delays, a thousand moving parts, but hearing that you still felt seen and heard is exactly why we do it this way. Early backers like you aren’t just “customers,” you’re shaping what Pocket becomes.

Now if I’m one of the lucky ones to receive a tracking number, but I was told it my pocket was shipped on 9/28.. Since that’s before the 10/1-10/7 holiday when should I be expecting my pocket? I’m in the middle of heavy nonprofit Gala organizing and my ADHD has made things A LOT more challenging to where my pocket cannot arrive soon enough!
@Lynudan77 if your Pocket shipped on 9/28, it reached the courier before the Oct 1-7 Golden Week holiday. Once things get back to normal after the holiday, delivery to the US usually takes about 10-14 days. Mid- to late October is a good guideline, though it could be a little faster or slower depending on customs and couriers.
I sure hope that this site becomes more than just people complaining and claiming scam. Being able to pay with PayPal made me feel secure in backing Pocket early. I was wondering why nothing was updated on tracking though it was marked as shipped, thanks for letting us know. I’m anxious to receive mine!

@ELI2S please see Akshay’s post about this: I got a USPS tracking number, but when I check it online it says “invalid” or doesn’t show any updates. Did something go wrong with my order?

I believe the first 5k received tracking numbers (I did), but it doesn’t show any activity yet as they are delayed because of a holiday until 10/7 in Hong Kong. That’s how I am understanding the situation anyways. Should see more movement this week after the 7th!

The tracking won’t be updated u til after October 7th due to a holiday in Hong Kong. They said if we had a tracking number it was shipped, but it will not be updated until then.

Not attempting to be dismissive- I have lost a fair few dollars to Kickstarter, early product releases, and the like. It is risky, and the risk is offset by perks/cost benefits (like what is offered here).
If you have had negative experiences and are really skeptical of common “new company” issues, perhaps early adapter and crowd source projects don’t align well with your consumer preferences. And that is OK!
It seems odd to take out that frustration on a company that seems to be moving everything along (even if not on the original timeline).

@Joe1 Order #1017 is part of the early batch, yes.
A small number of early orders required additional handling during fulfillment, so they’re being completed in a follow-up wave. Your order is already prioritized within that group and will be dispatched asap.
